Step upstairs into our Soap School, tucked above the Apothecary, and spend a few wonderful hours discovering the traditional art of cold process soap making.
Botanical Bloom is our spring workshop collection — inspired by the return of flowers, herbs and botanicals after the long winter months.
Surrounded by the old-world charm of the Apothecary, you’ll learn the traditional cold process method before creating a batch of beautifully scented, seasonal soap entirely your own.
No previous experience is needed. Simply come along, choose your scents and botanicals, and enjoy the wonderfully slow and satisfying process of making soap from scratch.

• Learn the traditional cold process soap-making method
• Create your own seasonal, naturally inspired soap
• Choose from our beautiful collection of fragrances, botanicals and decorative ingredients
• All ingredients, equipment and safety wear provided
• Take home approximately 10 bars of your own handmade soap
• Small workshop groups of a maximum of 12 guests, with plenty of personal guidance
Settle in with a cuppa, seasonal treats and music while you create.
Before or after your workshop, wander downstairs into the Hampshire Soap School & Apothecary, filled with soaps, bath treats, candles, gifts and curious little treasures.

Parking:
Public parking is available nearby at Newton Lane Car Park, to the rear of the Apothecary.
Accessibility:
Our Soap School is situated on the first floor and is accessed by stairs only. Unfortunately, there is no disabled access.
Toilet facilities:
A toilet is available upstairs for workshop guests.
Age:
Workshops are not suitable for children under 14.
Vegan friendly:
All workshop recipes and ingredients are vegan friendly.
Booking is essential. Your confirmation email will be sent after booking — please check your junk/spam folder if it doesn’t arrive in your inbox.

Our workshops are carefully prepared in advance and places are limited. Please read our booking policy before reserving your place.
Cancellations
Cancellations made with 14 days’ notice or more are eligible for workshop credit, which can be used towards a future workshop date.
We do not offer monetary refunds.
Changing your date
If you need to move your booking to another workshop date, we require a minimum of 7 days’ notice. All changes are subject to availability.
Cancellations or requests to change dates received with less than the required notice cannot be credited or transferred.
As a small independent business, every workshop place matters. Once spaces have been reserved, ingredients, materials and preparations are planned around the number attending, and late cancellations leave us very little opportunity to offer that place to somebody else.
