Step upstairs into our Soap School, tucked above the Apothecary, for a wonderfully summery few hours of traditional soap making.
Hedgerow & Honey is our summer collection — inspired by the wildflowers, herbs, fruits and honey of the English countryside.
During this seasonal experience, you’ll learn the traditional cold process method and create your own beautiful batch of soap from scratch, incorporating locally sourced honey alongside a collection of summer scents, botanicals and decorative ingredients.
Choose your favourites, blend your scent and decorate your soap entirely your own way.
No previous experience is needed — just come along, settle in and enjoy the wonderfully slow and satisfying art of traditional soap making.

• Learn the traditional cold process soap-making method
• Create your own summer-inspired soap from scratch
• Make your soap using locally sourced honey (This is Optional & can be Vegan Friendly).
• Choose from our collection of seasonal scents, botanicals and decorative ingredients
• Blend, pour and decorate your soap to make it completely your own
• All ingredients, equipment and safety wear provided
• Take home approximately 10 bars of your own handmade soap
• Small workshop groups of a maximum of 12 guests, with plenty of personal guidance
Settle in with a cuppa, seasonal treats and music while your cauldron of oils, honey and botanicals becomes something rather special.
Before or after your workshop, wander downstairs into the Hampshire Soap School & Apothecary, filled with soaps, bath treats, candles, gifts and curious little treasures.

Parking:
Public parking is available nearby at Newton Lane Car Park, to the rear of the Apothecary.
Accessibility:
Our Soap School is situated on the first floor and is accessed by stairs only. Unfortunately, there is no disabled access.
Toilet facilities:
A toilet is available upstairs for workshop guests.
Age:
Workshops are not suitable for children under 14.
Booking is essential. Your confirmation email will be sent after booking — please check your junk/spam folder if it doesn’t arrive in your inbox.

✦ CANCELLATIONS & DATE CHANGES ✦
Our workshops are carefully prepared in advance and places are limited. Please read our booking policy before reserving your place.
Cancellations
Cancellations made with 14 days’ notice or more are eligible for workshop credit, which can be used towards a future workshop date.
We do not offer monetary refunds.
Changing your date
If you need to move your booking to another workshop date, we require a minimum of 7 days’ notice. All changes are subject to availability.
Cancellations or requests to change dates received with less than the required notice cannot be credited or transferred.
As a small independent business, every workshop place matters. Once spaces have been reserved, ingredients, materials and preparations are planned around the number attending, and late cancellations leave us very little opportunity to offer that place to somebody else.
